Why Customers Send Us Their Stainless Drawings

Four things decide whether a stainless order goes right: how the work is done, how fast it moves, what material goes in, and how it is checked.

01All processes

Nothing is outsourced, so nothing is lost between vendors

Raw sheet goes in and finished stainless parts come out of the same site. When cutting, forming, joining and finishing are handled by one team, tolerances are not re-datumed between suppliers and your order does not sit in somebody else’s queue for two weeks.

  • One team owns the part from flat sheet to packed carton, with a single point of contact
  • Press tooling and draw dies are built and maintained in our own die shop
  • Urgent orders can run on a 24-hour production schedule
02Speed

You get a manufacturable price before you pay for tooling

Send a drawing in any format. Our engineers check material, tolerance and process first, then come back with a rough quote inside 8 hours. If a radius, a thickness or a bend sequence is adding cost without adding function, you hear it before the die is cut, not after the parts arrive.

  • 19 engineers review your drawing free of charge, from raw material to surface treatment
  • Laser-cut and bent prototype samples within 72 hours
  • No fixed MOQ — prototyping starts from a single piece
03Material

The grade is chosen for the environment, then verified

Stainless steel is not one material. We confirm the grade against where the part lives, then check incoming material before production rather than explaining a failure afterwards.

  • 304 — general fabrication, food contact, hygienic and easy-clean surfaces
  • 316 — marine, coastal and chemical exposure, where 304 would pit over time
  • 410 — hardened, wear-resistant parts such as food-processing tools
04Quality

Every batch carries its own inspection record

The batch number follows the part from the material rack to the packed carton. Each check is written against that number, so what was measured stays on file with the order.

  • Spectrometer alloy check on every batch; thickness, length and width gauged before release
  • First piece fully inspected, then sampling at fixed intervals through the run
  • Full batch record kept for every order, yours to review

Two Stainless Steel Projects From Our Production Records

Each part is shown from two angles, with the process route and what we control in production.

One cap, two angles: the domed top with its centre hole, and the open side showing the drawn wall and side hole.

Industrial equipment

Deep-drawn stainless caps, 30,000 pieces per order

  • MaterialStainless steel sheet, deep drawn in one piece
  • ProcessMulti-stage deep drawing → hole piercing → laser marking → surface finishing
  • RequirementA seamless protective cap with even wall thickness across the dome: no cracking at the radius, and no weld to finish around
  • SolutionThe draw ratio is split across several stages with controlled material flow, so the wall keeps its thickness from base to dome; the centre hole and the side-wall hole are pierced in the same tooling, which holds their positions to the drawing
Result: running at 30,000 pieces per order, with the dome profile and both hole positions verified against the drawing.
laser-cut and bent 304 stainless steel assembly with perforations, ribs and mounting studs
the same 304 stainless assembly from the other side, showing welded flanges and mounting studs
One assembly, two angles: the perforated face with its stiffening ribs, and the welded flanges with the base studs.

Cleanroom equipment

Non-magnetic 304 assembly with welded studs

  • Material304 stainless steel, non-magnetic
  • ProcessLaser cutting → precision bending → spot and TIG welding → stud welding → sandblasting
  • RequirementNo magnetic response and no corrosion, with mounting studs welded at fixed positions so the customer’s assembly step gets shorter
  • SolutionLaser-cut perforations and precision bending formed the layers and flanges in one setup; overlapping flanges are spot welded with the corners dressed; the studs are welded against a fixture so their positions repeat; sandblasting keeps the natural stainless colour with an easy-clean texture
Result: repeatable hole and stud positions across the batch, which shortened the customer’s own assembly step.

FAQ

Stainless Steel Fabrication Questions, Answered

What buyers ask most often before a drawing turns into a confirmed order.

What do I need to send to get a price?

Send the drawing in any format, with the quantity and the finish you need. Nothing else is required to start: our engineers check material, tolerance and process, then send a rough quote inside 8 hours. Up to 10 files can be attached to the form on our contact page.

Can I get a prototype before I commit to tooling?

Yes. Laser-cut and bent prototypes are ready within 72 hours and need no mould, so you can check fit, finish and assembly before any tooling spend. Prototyping starts from a single piece, and volume is quoted per project.

Does drawing review or design optimisation cost anything?

No. Drawing review and design optimisation are free, from raw material to surface treatment, and samples and design work are both provided at no charge. Settling a radius, a thickness or a draw ratio before tooling is cut keeps project risk down.

Who inspects the parts, and can I inspect them myself?

Every batch runs incoming, in-process and final inspection, and the records stay with the batch afterwards. Measuring equipment includes two coordinate measuring machines, plus height gauges, hardness testers, and air-tightness and appearance checks. Your own inspector, or a third-party inspection, is welcome before the goods ship.

How do you protect stainless parts during packing and shipping?

After inspection, parts move to the packaging and shipping area for protective packaging, labelling and boxing, then into traceable shipping. Stainless is judged on its surface, so parts are packed to protect the finish they were made to.
